The CTEC is a state-of-the-art facility with real-world learning spaces and equipment that offers 30+ Programs of Study (POS) (often referred to as Career Clusters) for students in grades 9-12. The 2014-16 CTE Programs of Study (POS) should serve as a guide, along with other career planning materials, as students continue to plan for their future. Courses listed within this Program of Study are recommended courses and should be individualized to meet each learner’s educational and career goals. All programs will meet high school recommended graduation requirements. View a Pathway Flow Chart listed for additional information (click on the Program of Study).
CTE students will take introductory classes and all core classes at their home campus and then take advanced courses at the CTE Center. When students select a POS or an Endorsement Area, they are not selecting a college major or making a life-long commitment to a specific occupation. Selecting a POS or an Endorsement Area is allowing a student the opportunity to explore a variety of careers. CTE Center courses do not eliminate the student from participating in any co-curricular activities such as athletics, fine arts or similar courses.
Check out the page "Graduation Plans for Class of 2018 and Beyond" for a description of the new graduation plans.
